Gordon & Macphail Connoisseurs Choice Glenallachie 2008

This release has been bottled specially for Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Connoisseurs Choice range, having distilled at Glenallachie in 2008. This superb whisky was laid down to mature in a refill American oak hogshead for 13 years, with just 411 bottles being produced at 46%.

Nose: Sweet malt, supported by banana and vanilla custard, with apple skin and some caramel.

Palate: Oak spice and cooked pear tart, with a touch of melted milk chocolate.

Finish: Pepper appears on the finish alongside tangy tropical fruit.
