WhistlePig, the renowned UK distillery has launched a very unique alcohol free whisky for dry January.
Embracing the spirit of going alcohol free for a month in the new year, the WhistlePig team have created a non-alcoholic ready to drink version of the classic Old Fashioned called “Dank & Dry.” This unique concoction incorporates non-psychoactive cannabis terpenes (oils), enhancing its flavours without inducing a high.
Crafted from WhistlePig’s Barrel Aged Maple Old Fashioned recipe, Dank & Dry features a blend of 100 percent rye “non-whiskey,” meticulously distilled in reverse to eliminate alcohol content. The infusion of barrel-aged maple syrup and Vermont cannabis terpenes delivers distinct aroma and flavour, derived from cannabis grown in whiskey barrels, elevating the overall taste profile.
Its palate carries a noticeable cannabis essence alongside hints of sweet potpourri, maple, orange, cinnamon, and spice. Meghan Ireland, the head blender, expressed enthusiasm about the exploration of terpenes at the nexus of non-alcoholic beverages and cannabis trends.
