Bowmore 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Bowmore is Islay's oldest licensed distillery, founded in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal. Its whiskies are matured in the legendary No.1 Vaults, the oldest whisky warehouse in Scotland, sitting below sea level and giving Bowmore its distinctive maritime character. The house style balances gentle peat smoke with rich, fruity sweetness — a signature that has made Bowmore one of the most collected names on Islay.

This 18 Year Old is matured in a hand-selected combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry oak casks, bottled at 43% ABV as one of the most decorated expressions in the current core range.

Nose: creamy caramel and toffee, ripe fruit and gentle smoke aromas.

Palate: complex and rounded, with soft fruit and chocolate balanced against a light smokiness.

Finish: long, wonderfully balanced, with lingering fruit and oak.

Awards: Double Gold, San Francisco World Spirits Competition (voted Best in Show Whisky, 2019); Gold, International Spirits Challenge (2019); more recent bottlings have also taken Gold at the ISC and Double Gold at the SFWSC.
