A Different Way To Own Whisky

Whisky Casks

Own the spirit, not just the bottle. While we typically specialise in selling bottles of wine, champagne and spirits, we've been offered a limited selection of casks directly from distilleries we work with. These rare opportunities allow collectors and enthusiasts to own an entire cask before it's bottled, with only a small number available from time to time.

How It Works

1
We source the offer

A distillery or cask broker we trust offers us a limited number of casks, often before they reach the open market.

2
We vet what we share

We only pass on casks where the terms, storage and paperwork meet our standards.

3
You browse and enquire

Each listing sets out distillery, cask type, fill date, strength, storage and any included benefits.

4
Ownership transfers to you

You receive full documentation of ownership, with storage and insurance continuing exactly as described.

Worth Knowing

Why buy a cask instead of bottles?

Owning a cask means owning the spirit itself, not a bottle of it. You take on full legal ownership of a specific, numbered cask maturing in a bonded warehouse, with the flexibility to continue its maturation, bottle it under your own name, or sell the cask on at a later date.

What's included with every cask?
  • Full legal ownership of a specific, numbered cask
  • Professional bonded storage and insurance (term varies by cask — see individual listings)
  • Full transparency on distillery, cask type, ABV, fill date, capacity and RPA/LPA
  • The freedom to mature, bottle, or sell the cask on whenever you choose
New to buying whisky by the cask?

Cask ownership carries different considerations to buying bottles — from duty and storage through to eventual bottling or resale. If you'd like to talk it through before committing, call an advisor or get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
