Bowmore is Islay's oldest licensed distillery, founded in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal. Whisky here matures in the legendary No.1 Vaults, the oldest whisky warehouse in Scotland, giving Bowmore its distinctive maritime character balanced against the distillery's signature gentle peat smoke.

The Bowmore 40 Year Old represents four decades of patient maturation in casks that were once home to some of the very best bourbon whiskey and sherry. This 2024 release is produced in strictly limited quantities, showcasing the extraordinary balance that can only be achieved through long-term ageing, bottled at 45.1% ABV.

Nose: a perfectly composed union of juicy papaya and passion fruit, rich cocoa and butterscotch.

Palate: smooth, aromatic and impeccably balanced, revealing tobacco leaves, walnut cake, butterscotch and a whisper of subtle smoke.

Finish: an involved and rewarding journey that echoes with rich intensity.
