Clement is one of Martinique's leading rhum agricole houses, distilling from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice (rather than molasses) under the island's AOC Martinique designation - the only rum-producing region with this protected status.

This Private Cask belongs to a series specially selected by cellarmaster Julien Thimon. Aged for 15 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, it was selected exclusively for Whisky Brokers Associates, with an extremely rare run of just 72 bottles.

Tasting notes: beautifully complex on the nose, driven by fruity notes of smashed mango and marmalade. The palate is wide, with smoky notes of cigar box and hints of toasted nuts, leading to a long, sweet finish reminiscent of crème brûlée.

Wow! A near 60% rum, ginger cake, dried fruits, dark chocolate all come through. Saw it listed in Forbes as worlds best and can see why, a great rum for special occasions.
