Dalmore 12 Year Old

The Dalmore is one of the great names of Highland single malt, distilled at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth since 1839 and famed for a house style built on bold citrus, dark chocolate and warming spice, underpinned by the distillery's signature dual sherry and bourbon cask maturation.

The 12 Year Old is the foundation of The Dalmore's core range. The spirit is first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, giving twice the sherry influence of a standard 12 year old malt.

Expect caramelised orange, ginger and sultanas on the nose, laced with honey. The palate delivers dark chocolate and crushed almonds dusted with cinnamon, before a finish of sweet mango, panna cotta and lemon sponge cake.
