Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve

The Dalmore is one of the great names of Highland single malt, distilled since 1839 at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth. The distillery's house style is built on bold orange, chocolate and spice character, drawn out through an ambitious approach to cask maturation.

Created specifically to stand up to the richness of a fine cigar, the Cigar Malt Reserve marries spirit matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels with stocks finished in 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts and premier cru Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques, producing a robust, full-bodied malt.

Expect cinnamon, vanilla and red summer fruits on the nose, with tropical fruits, banana toffee and vanilla ice cream on the palate, finishing with orange zest, dark chocolate and a lingering crushed spice.
