Glendronach Ode To The Embers

The GlenDronach distillery in Huntly, Aberdeenshire is celebrated for its richly sherried Highland single malts, matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from the bodegas of Andalucía. Rich, robust and intensely sherried, GlenDronach's house style is built on dark fruit, spice, toffee and leather.

Ode to the Embers, part of the Master's Anthology, is the first peated expression in GlenDronach's history, matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Bottled at natural colour and non-chill filtered, its gentle, sweet smoke sits in contrast to GlenDronach's traditional unpeated style.

Tasting notes: soft, sweet peat smoke intertwines with spiced fruitcake, dark chocolate and a medley of roasted nuts, underpinned by warm sherried spice.
