Indri is produced by Piccadily Distilleries in Indri, Haryana, in the foothills of the Himalayas, distilling indigenous six-row Indian barley through Scottish-style copper pot stills. Summers reaching 50°C and near-freezing winters accelerate maturation far beyond Scotland's cooler climate, concentrating flavour and colour extraction from the cask at a remarkable pace.
Founders Reserve 11 Year Old, released in honour of Piccadily founder Pt Kidar Nath Sharma, is one of the oldest Indian single malts ever bottled. Aged for over a decade in ex-Bordeaux red wine casks and bottled at cask strength (58.5% ABV), it is limited to just 1,100 bottles worldwide, with only 66 allocated to the UK.
Expect honeyed fruit, dried apricots, vanilla and polished oak on the nose, leading to a palate layered with tropical fruit, warming spice, chocolate and malt sweetness, and a long finish of oak, spice and subtle sweetness.
Founders Reserve 11 Year Old scored 95.09 points at the 2024 International Whisky Competition (ranking 8th globally), and went on to win Gold at the World Whisky Awards 2025 and Gold at the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition.
