Valdespino Vermouth Origen (Macallan)

Bodegas Valdespino is one of Jerez's oldest and most storied sherry houses, tracing its origins back to 1264. Renowned for exceptional Oloroso, Amontillado and Pedro Ximénez sherries, Valdespino has become a key partner to The Macallan, supplying the sherry-seasoned oak casks central to the Speyside distillery's single malt.

Origen is a Rojo (sweet) vermouth crafted using an authentic early 20th-century recipe, blending very old Oloroso and Moscatel sherry wines. This rich base is aromatised with a complex selection of dried fruits and botanicals, including bright Seville orange, warming nutmeg, and the classic bitter notes of cinchona bark and gentian, before ageing in casks that previously matured Valdespino's own Oloroso sherry.
