Glen Grant 2008 13 Year Old Carn Mor

Glen Grant distillery was founded in Rothes, Speyside in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant, renowned for its tall, slender stills fitted with purifiers that return heavier vapours for re-distillation — producing one of Speyside's lightest, most elegant house styles.

This single malt was distilled at Glen Grant in 2008 and matured for 11 years in bourbon barrels before being finished for a further 2 years in Barbados rum casks from the West Indies Rum Distillery, bottled by independent merchant Càrn Mòr for its Strictly Limited series (Morrison & Mackay) at natural colour and non-chill filtered. Only around 1,235 bottles were produced.

Expect juicy tropical fruit and banana candy from the rum cask influence, with a smooth, sweet, lingering finish.
