The Lakes Distillery sits on the banks of the River Derwent near Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria. Founded in 2011, it helped pioneer the modern English whisky revival, drawing on the region's pure water and maritime climate to shape a house style defined by rich, sherry-led maturation.
Signature is the distillery's first permanent style of sherry-led single malt, the culmination of years of flavour exploration through the seven editions of the Whiskymaker's Reserve series. Matured in a combination of the finest European and American oak Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, it is built through élévage — nurturing the spirit through a careful sequence of casks to develop new layers of flavour.
