The Macallan Double Cask 15 Year Old demonstrates the perfect harmony created by the marriage of two distinct woods. By maturing the spirit in a combination of hand-picked American and European oak casks, both seasoned with Oloroso sherry, Macallan has achieved a beautifully balanced character. The American oak imparts delicate flavours of vanilla, honey, and citrus, while the European oak provides the traditional subtle spice and dried fruit. The result is a warm, golden spirit with a creamy mouthfeel and a finish that is both sweet and satisfyingly oaky.
