The Tops 33 Year Old Legacy Collection

House of Hazelwood is the private whisky collection of the Gordon family, owners of William Grant & Sons, opened to enthusiasts in 2022 to share decades of rare, hand-selected reserve casks. The Legacy Collection showcases aged Scotch whiskies chosen for their exceptional flavour and rarity.

The Tops takes its name from the traditional blender's term for the finest parcels of malt whisky, typically reserved in small quantities to "top off" prestige blends. Here, these elite malt casks have been married together in an Oloroso sherry cask as the stars of the show, creating a 33 Year Old blended malt of remarkable poise. Just 523 bottles were released.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Bright and floral, with sherried notes of golden raisin, dried fig, date and prune, alongside liquorice and seasoned oak.

Palate: Viscous, rich and creamy, with Christmas pudding richness, butterscotch, milk chocolate and coffee.

Finish: Long and slightly dry, with mild pepper and lingering dried fruit.
