Indri is produced by Piccadily Distilleries in Indri, Haryana, in the foothills of the Himalayas, distilling indigenous six-row barley through Scottish-style copper pot stills. India's intense subtropical climate accelerates maturation well beyond Scotland's pace, giving Indri's whiskies remarkable depth and complexity.
Indri-Trini Three Wood was the first Indian whisky matured in three different cask types — ex-bourbon, ex-wine and PX sherry — married together to bring out the character of each wood without overshadowing the underlying spirit. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added colour.
Expect a gentle, mellow nose of black tea and caramelised pineapple alongside vanilla and honey from the bourbon casks, with spiced tannins from the European oak and sweet sherry nuances from the PX casks adding complexity.
Indri-Trini Three Wood was crowned Best Indian Single Malt at the World Whisky Awards 2022, and also won Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2022, Gold at the Global World Whisky Masters, Platinum at the Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards 2022 and Gold at the International Whisky Competition 2022.
