Don Julio 1942

Don Julio is a veteran tequila producer from Jalisco, Mexico, founded by Don Julio González-Frausto Estrada, who began distilling tequila in 1942 at just 17 years old.

1942 Añejo is the house's top cuvée, produced in small batches and aged for a minimum of 30 months (two and a half years) in American white oak barrels, bottled at 38% ABV. It's presented in the brand's instantly recognisable, statuesque amber bottle.

Nose: green banana, vanilla pod and cinnamon. Palate: toasty oak and roasted agave, with rich caramel and chocolate. Finish: a sweet, lingering agave close.

Awarded Gold in the Añejo Tequila category at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2020.
