Blanton's Gold

Blanton's is produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and was the world's first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon when launched in 1984. Barrels are drawn from Warehouse H, a metal-clad rickhouse known for producing fast-maturing, characterful whiskey.

Gold Edition is a single-barrel bottling, distilled from Buffalo Trace's high-rye mash bill and bottled at a higher strength than the standard Blanton's Single Barrel, at 51.5% ABV (103 proof), for a bolder, more concentrated expression. No age statement is given, as is standard for the range.

Nose: spicy rye and tobacco. Palate: caramel, honey, dark fruit and citrus, with rye and tobacco carrying through. Finish: warm and polished.
