Laphroaig is one of Islay's most celebrated distilleries, founded in 1815 and renowned for its intensely peated, medicinal and maritime house style.

Part of the prestigious Ian Hunter Story collection, Chapter 5 - "Enduring Spirit" - is a rare 34 Year Old single malt celebrating the legacy of Ian Hunter, the last of the Johnston family to own and manage Laphroaig, between 1908 and 1944. Matured in a combination of first-fill American oak bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximénez hogsheads, and bottled without chill-filtration at 45.5% ABV, this is the final chapter in the series.

Nose: Lightly peaty, with iodine and burnt wood, floral green malt, sweet candyfloss and vanilla fudge, alongside blueberry and raspberry.
Palate: Sweet and spicy, with Laphroaig's characteristic peaty reek and hints of cold barbecue ash.
Finish: Long and evolving, carrying smoke, sweetness and gentle oak through to the end.

Presented in a luxury book-style case, this limited-edition release is a true collector's item for connoisseurs of Islay whisky.

Region: Islay  |  Style: Single Malt  |  ABV: 45.5%  |  Size: 700ml  |  Cask: First-Fill Bourbon Barrels & PX Hogsheads
