Lochlea is an independent, family-run farm distillery in the Lowlands of Ayrshire, founded in 2018 by Neil McGeoch on the farm where the poet Robert Burns once lived and worked. As a working farm, Lochlea's seasonal small-batch releases tie in with exactly what is happening on the land at that time of year.

Sowing Edition (Third Crop) is the first in Lochlea's final set of four seasonal editions, marking the end of the Seasonal trilogy. Matured 100% in fresh first-fill ex-bourbon barrels nine months older than those used for the Second Crop, it highlights the floral aromatics associated with distilling in the colder months, bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: Almonds and rose petals.
Palate: White pepper and a vibrant burst of apple blossom.
Finish: Warm straw and fresh grass.

Region: Lowland  |  Style: Single Malt  |  ABV: 46%  |  Size: 700ml  |  Cask: First-Fill Ex-Bourbon
