Lochlea is an independent, family-run farm distillery in the Lowlands of Ayrshire, founded in 2018 by Neil McGeoch on the farm where the poet Robert Burns once lived and worked. As a working farm, Lochlea's seasonal small-batch releases tie in with exactly what is happening on the land at that time of year.

Sowing Edition (Second Crop) for 2023 uses 100% fresh first-fill ex-bourbon barrels stored higher up in the warehouse than the 2022 release - the extra heat drives faster maturation, showing a clear progression from the previous edition. Bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: Fruity, sweet apples and pears.
Palate: Vanilla pods and almond oil.
Finish: Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of pine.

This bottle includes a complimentary Lochlea tasting glass.

Region: Lowland  |  Style: Single Malt  |  ABV: 46%  |  Size: 700ml  |  Cask: First-Fill Ex-Bourbon
