Pol Roger Brut 2018

Pol Roger is one of the last great family-owned Champagne houses, based in Épernay, and was famously Winston Churchill's favourite Champagne. Its Brut Vintage bottling is made only in the best years, from the house's traditional vintage blend.

The 2018 Brut Vintage is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, sourced from 20 Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards across the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, produced in limited quantities and aged in Pol Roger's deep cellars before disgorgement.

Aromatically it shows pear, peach, orange zest and pastry with a touch of exotic fruit. The palate is full-bodied, muscular and textural, with rich, sweet fruit supported by succulent, vibrant acidity and a long, enveloping finish.

Wine Spectator scored the 2018 Brut Vintage 93 points.
