Giovanni Almondo farms Nebbiolo in Roero, on the left bank of the Tanaro river opposite Barolo — sandier soils that give the variety a softer, more perfumed expression.

The 2018 'Bric Valdiana' is 100% Nebbiolo, aged 18 months in large, untoasted Slavonian oak casks, offering classic aromas of rose petal, red berries and gentle spice.

The palate is structured yet graceful, with fine tannins and vibrant acidity giving both immediate appeal and genuine ageing potential — all the elegance of Nebbiolo with a softer, more approachable profile than Barolo.
