About this bottle

Tomatin sits high in the Monadhliath foothills south of Inverness. It was founded in 1897, and by the 1970s it was the largest malt distillery in Scotland. Today it is known as the softer side of the Highlands, thanks to a gentle, fruit-led house style built on soft water from the Allt na Frìthe burn and carefully chosen casks.

The 18 Year Old is the flagship of Tomatin's core range. It spends most of its life in refill American oak, which builds a base of honey, vanilla and orchard fruit. It is then finished in Oloroso sherry butts for added richness, dried fruit and spice. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour. Its consistency has earned it a run of honours at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, including Triple Gold.

A superb dram for a special occasion, and an outstanding gift.
