Domaine de Montille Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru `Aux Malconsorts` 2021 case of 6 (75cl)

Domaine de Montille is one of Burgundy's most respected grower-producers, farming certified organic and biodynamic vineyards from its base in Volnay. Aux Malconsorts is a Premier Cru climate in Vosne-Romanée bordering the Grand Cru La Tâche, widely considered one of the finest Premier Cru sites in the Côte de Nuits and rivalling Grand Cru status in its power and structure.

The Domaine holds a prized 1.37-hectare parcel here, from which this 2021 Pinot Noir is produced with a significant proportion of whole-cluster fermentation and around 14–18 months' ageing in French oak (approximately 20–30% new).

Brilliant ruby-red in the glass, the nose opens with crushed red cherries, black raspberry, dried rose petals and exotic spice, underlaid by iron minerality. The palate is silky yet muscular, with ultra-fine, chalky tannins supporting a focused core of red fruit and vibrant, limestone-driven acidity through to a long, spice-tinged finish.
