Discover Midland Press: premium, small-batch English wines crafted in a Birmingham railway arch. Every bottle is unfined and unfiltered for purely authentic character. The Midland Press Outer City Limits Red 2025 presents a unique opportunity to savor a creation that truly embodies the essence of its region.
Carbonic Pinot Noir (early) — OCL25 is a remarkable representation of fine winemaking. Using grapes from a single vineyard in North Worcestershire, this is the second vintage of one of our most recognisable wines. With a limited run of just under 1,700 bottles, it’s a rare delight for wine enthusiasts.
The 2025 growing season was exceptional, yielding a beautiful boost in intensity and depth, while maintaining the wine’s signature ultra-light character. The result is a vibrant, bone-dry red bursting with poppy notes of wild strawberry and raspberry, beautifully balanced by a deeper herbal and earthy edge. For those who appreciate the art of winemaking, the Midland Press invites you to explore a taste that reflects careful cultivation and expert craftsmanship.
This release underwent carbonic maceration for three weeks at a cool, controlled temperature inside the viaduct arch, before being aged for five months in stainless steel vats. To preserve its natural character and purity, the wine was bottled on-site, unfined and unfiltered.
When considering how best to serve this wine, it is suggested to enjoy the Midland Press Outer City Limits Red 2025 at a chilled to lightly chilled temperature, allowing the unique flavors to truly shine. Enjoy with a variety of dishes or on its own for an exquisite tasting experience.
