Château Tour de Capet lies south of Saint-Émilion, near Saint-Hippolyte, just below its sister estate Château Capet-Guillier. Since 2009 the property has been run by Antoine Moueix Propriétés, a négociant with over a century's experience on Bordeaux's Right Bank, with winemaking by Christophe Grenier and consultancy from Stéphane Derenoncourt.

The estate's 10 hectares are planted on sand, loam and clay, farmed under a zero-residue policy that prohibits herbicides. The wine is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Malbec, fermented in concrete tanks with four to five days' skin maceration and regular punch-downs, then aged for 12 months in French oak, around a third of it new.

The result marries dark berry flavours with subtle tobacco and spice, balanced by vibrant acidity and velvety tannins.
