Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires 2017 case of 6 (75cl)

Charles Heidsieck is a Champagne house founded in 1851, celebrated for the depth of its reserve wine cellars and for cuvées built on extended lees ageing. Blanc des Millénaires is the house's flagship prestige Blanc de Blancs, released only ten times in over 40 years and made exclusively in the finest Chardonnay vintages.

The 2017 vintage is 100% Chardonnay, drawn from four Grand Cru villages — Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Oger and, for the first time since 1983, Chouilly — alongside Premier Cru Vertus. The wine spent 7 years ageing on lees in the house's historic, 2,000-year-old chalk cellars before release.

Radiant pale gold with fine, persistent effervescence, the nose opens with toasted brioche, fresh butter and pastry notes, evolving into flaked almonds, roasted hazelnuts and delicate white florals. The palate is silky and lacelike, balancing youthful freshness with deep complexity, a vibrant chalky minerality and subtle salinity driving a remarkably long, elegant finish.
