Les Pèlerins de Lafon-Rochet 2018

Les Pèlerins is the second wine of Château Lafon-Rochet, a classified Fourth Growth estate in Saint-Estèphe, offering a more approachable take on the estate's classic Left Bank style.

The 2018 vintage is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot blend from a superb Bordeaux year, showing balance and structure.

On the nose it presents dark berries, cassis and plum, laced with graphite, cedarwood and a subtle earthy undertone. The palate is medium-bodied with firm but polished tannins, showing blackcurrant, cherry and hints of liquorice and spice, with a touch of mineral tension and well-integrated oak. The finish is refined and persistent, with a savoury edge and restrained power.
