Newton Chardonnay 2018 Unfiltered Moët Hennessy

Newton Vineyard is a Napa Valley estate now under Moët Hennessy ownership, renowned for its unfiltered wines and hillside, terraced vineyards designed to let gravity — not machinery — guide the winemaking.

The 2018 Unfiltered Chardonnay is blended primarily from organically farmed, estate-grown fruit in Carneros with a contribution from a Rutherford grower, barrel-fermented and aged one year in French oak (25% new), then bottled without filtration.

Notes of dry caramel and baking spice frame ripe, generous fruit, while iodine and ripe citrus peel add lift; the palate is creamy and long, with bright acidity balancing the richness.
