Noilly Prat Ambré is the rich, amber-hued sibling of the world-famous Noilly Prat Original Dry. Made by the historic house of Noilly Prat in Marseillan, on France's Mediterranean coast, where herbalist Joseph Noilly created his first vermouth recipe in 1813, Ambré was introduced in 1986 as a fuller, rounder, gently sweet expression of the house style.

It begins with the same base of Languedoc white wines, aged outdoors in oak casks where the sun, sea air and changing seasons shape their character, a process unique to Noilly Prat. The wine is then infused with around 15 botanicals sourced from around the world, including rose buds and coriander from Morocco, cardamom and cinnamon, plus vanilla and lavender, giving Ambré its warm spice and dessert-wine richness.
The result is a semi-sweet bianco-style vermouth with plenty of character: candied orange and baking spice balanced by herbal bitterness and fresh acidity. Serve it chilled over ice with a twist of orange as a classic French apéritif, lengthen it with tonic or soda for a low-ABV spritz, or use it to add depth to a Martinez, Manhattan or Negroni variation. It also pairs beautifully with cheese.
