Lochlea Overtone Over & Stout

Lochlea is an independent, family-run farm distillery in the Lowlands of Ayrshire, founded in 2018 by Neil McGeoch on the farm where the poet Robert Burns once lived and worked, combining agricultural tradition with modern distillation techniques.

We are delighted to offer this special edition Lochlea Over & Stout, the second and final release in Lochlea's collaboration with Overtone Brewery, a Glasgow-based craft brewer, whose stout-seasoned casks were used to help mature Lochlea's spirit. Limited to just 1,500 bottles as a UK exclusive, this release comprises five casks in total - three stout-seasoned (two bourbon barrels, one STR barrique), one first-fill bourbon barrel and one ex-peated bourbon barrel - carefully married and bottled at 52% ABV.

Nose: Rich, sweet stout beer, light smoke and oak.
Palate: Creamy vanilla, cinder toffee and rich BBQ smoke.
Finish: Warming spice, green oak, rye bread and cereal notes.
