Coudoulet de Beaucastel is the Perrin family's Southern Rhône estate just across the A7 motorway from Château de Beaucastel itself, farmed on similar galets roulés terroir and often considered the "baby Beaucastel."
The Blanc is made from Marsanne, Viognier and Clairette, hand-harvested and sorted before pneumatic pressing, with fermentation split between oak barrels and stainless steel and eight months' ageing prior to blending and bottling. The 2021 vintage was marked by freshness reminiscent of the 1980s and 90s, with an April frost and a rain-interrupted harvest requiring close attention from the vineyard team.
Clear and limpid with subtle green reflections, the nose shows citrus fruit and pomelo with white flowers, bergamot and lime blossom. The palate carries the same freshness through to a lively, well-balanced finish.
