Kaiken Ultra Chardonnay 2023

Kaiken was founded in Mendoza, Argentina by Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes, taking its name from the wild geese that migrate between Chile and Argentina over the Andes. The Ultra range sits at the top of the Kaiken portfolio, showcasing fruit from high-altitude vineyards at the foothills of the mountains.

The Ultra Chardonnay 2023 is sourced from cool, high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza, where wide diurnal temperature swings preserve freshness while allowing the grapes to reach full ripeness. A portion of the wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels, adding texture without overpowering the fruit.

Bright golden in colour, it shows aromas of ripe peach, pineapple and citrus blossom layered with vanilla and toasted hazelnut. The palate is rich and creamy, with white peach, baked apple and lemon curd carried by crisp acidity to a long, balanced finish.
