Pouilly Fuisse 2009 Vielles Auvigue

Domaines Auvigue is a respected family estate in the Mâconnais producing benchmark white Burgundy, farming old-vine parcels around the village of Solutré-Pouilly at the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.

This Vieilles Vignes bottling is drawn from three plots of 75-80-year-old vines, fermented and aged for eight months in oak barrels; now fifteen years from harvest, the 2009 is a fully mature expression of the appellation.

Brioche, toast and vanilla oak notes layer over ripe orchard peach, with a round, supple palate, a structured, velvety texture and a long, richly concentrated finish balanced by fine acidity.
