2020 Domaine Digioia-Royer Chambolle-Musigny Villages

Crafted by Michel Digioia, a third-generation winemaker who has run this five-hectare estate since 1999, this village-level Chambolle-Musigny is a masterclass in Burgundian elegance. The cuvée draws from several parcels averaging 50 to 55 years of vine age, including material from plots planted as far back as 1934.

100% Pinot Noir, the 2020 vintage shows a striking garnet-red hue. It is matured in French oak for 16 to 18 months, with only 20% new wood, preserving purity of fruit and terroir expression.

A vibrant bouquet of red berries, blackberry and blackcurrant is lifted by the violet character typical of Chambolle-Musigny's limestone soils. The palate is silky and refined, balancing supple tannins with real concentration.
