2020 Tenuta la Novella, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG

From the sun-drenched hills of the Chianti Classico heartland, Tenuta la Novella is a certified organic and biodynamic estate whose wines capture the depth and nobility of Sangiovese grown on high-altitude, sandstone-rich vineyards.

This 2020 Riserva is 100% Sangiovese from galestro soils, aged for 24 months in large oak casks and refined further in bottle — a structured, complex expression built for longevity.

In the glass, it opens with classic aromas of sour cherry, dried rose petals, cedar and a hint of balsamic. On the palate it is poised and powerful, with layers of red berries, leather, sweet spice and earth. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, the acidity vibrant, everything in harmony.
