Jean-Claude Boisset's wines, made since 2002 by winemaker Grégory Patriat, draw acclaim for balance and refinement across the Burgundy range, including this certified-organic Hautes Côtes de Nuits.

Sourced from a 1.05-hectare organic Chardonnay plot on a Jurassic limestone plateau, with vines averaging 30 years old, the 2021 vintage was a challenging one for Burgundy, with catastrophic spring frost and hail cutting yields and a cool, wet season slowing ripening; the result is a return to a classic style, marked by bright acidity and freshness.

Wonderfully fresh and zippy, it shows citrus zest and green apple with subtle toasted brioche notes. The palate has excellent tension with concentrated fruit flavours that linger on the finish.
