2022 Pouilly-Fuissé `Vieilles Vignes`, Domaine Corsin, Burgundy, France

Domaine Corsin farms old-vine Chardonnay in Pouilly-Fuissé, in the Mâconnais at the southern tip of Burgundy, matured with a portion of oak to add texture without masking the appellation's mineral character.

The Vieilles Vignes bottling is 100% Chardonnay from the 2022 vintage, with around 40% of the wine matured in oak barrels (20% new) on fine lees with stirring for ten months.

Deep golden in colour, the nose opens with brioche alongside subtle stone fruit and floral notes underscored by restrained minerality. The palate is layered with green apple, citrus, creamy oak nuances and a mineral-driven austerity on a long, lingering finish.

The 2022 vintage was awarded Gold at the Sommelier Wine Awards and two stars in Guide Hachette des Vins; Wine Enthusiast scored it 93 points.
