Ben Nevis 29 Year Old Cask #1398

Ben Nevis distillery, at the foot of Britain's highest mountain in Fort William, is prized among collectors for its 1990s 'golden era' spirit, celebrated for its distinctive oily, tropical, slightly funky character. This extremely rare 29-year-old expression was distilled on 18 October 1996 and bottled from single cask #1398 as part of 'The Whispering Buds' series from The Wealth Spirit, an independent bottling label based in East London founded by Eric Dang. Bottled at 42.3% ABV; third-party retailer listings put the outturn at around 250 bottles.

The nose offers overripe peaches, mango and honeycomb, balanced by Ben Nevis's classic oily texture and a touch of industrial grit on the palate - a quintessential Highland malt at peak maturity, from a cult-favourite distilling era.
