Cambon la Pelouse Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel 2018

Nestled between Margaux and Saint-Julien, Château Cambon la Pelouse holds a coveted position in the Haut-Médoc, and the 2018 vintage confirms the estate's "Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel" status.

The 2018 blend is 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. A warm, dry season delivered small, deeply coloured berries, translating into a wine of concentration and finesse.

On the nose, cassis and black cherry mingle with hints of cedar, tobacco leaf and crushed violet. The palate is plush yet structured, with ripe tannins framing layers of dark fruit, graphite and a touch of cocoa, with extended barrel ageing woven into subtle spice and a silky texture. This is Left Bank Bordeaux at its most generous, pairing beautifully with roast lamb, duck breast or a grilled ribeye.
