Dailuaine 9 Year Old Sauternes Finish

Dailuaine distillery has stood on the banks of the River Spey since 1852, one of Speyside's classic, lesser-seen malts prized by blenders for its rich, weighty, sherry-friendly character - Dailuaine translates from Gaelic as "the green vale."

This single malt was distilled in 2012 and matured for nine years before finishing in an ex-Sauternes sweet wine cask, bottled in 2021 by independent bottler Càrn Mòr as part of their Strictly Limited series at 47.5% ABV. Just 816 bottles were produced.

The French sweet wine cask brings juicy fruit character to this full-bodied dram, with rosewater and bergamot freshness followed by chocolate and hazelnut notes.
