Dalmore Port Wood Reserve

The Dalmore is one of the great names of Highland single malt, distilled since 1839 at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth. Its house style of bold citrus and dark chocolate has been shaped for decades by an unusually ambitious approach to cask finishing.

The Port Wood Reserve celebrates The Dalmore's long-standing relationship with W. & J. Graham's Port Lodge in Portugal's Douro Valley. Spirit matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels is married with liquid finished in hand-selected Tawny Port pipes sourced from Graham's over more than 20 years, before being reunited to harmonise ahead of bottling.

The nose brings sweet red berries, Seville oranges and sticky toffee pudding. The palate offers nectarines, creamy caramel and roasted chestnuts, finishing with blood oranges and rich, macerated cherries.
