Dalmore Vintage 2009 (Bottled 2024)

The Dalmore is one of the great names of Highland single malt, distilled since 1839 at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth and known for a house style of bold citrus, dark chocolate and warming spice built through elaborate cask maturation.

Part of The Dalmore's annual Vintages Collection, this release captures spirit distilled in 2009 and matured for 15 years, first in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished across a dual combination of Matusalem sherry casks from González Byass and 10-year-old Tawny Port pipes from Graham's. Bottled at a higher strength than the core range, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.

The nose offers Manuka honey, dark plum and cracked black pepper. The palate brings Morello cherries, dates, Seville orange, figs and cacao, with a long finish of ginger cake, roasted chestnuts and wood spice.
