Domaine Gauby ‘Calcinaires’ Rouge IGP Côtes Catalanes 2019 (75cl)

Domaine Gauby is one of Roussillon's most influential estates, farmed organically since 2001 with minimal-intervention, near-biodynamic practices — indigenous yeasts only, no acidification, no fining or filtration.

'Calcinaires' 2019 is a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan from vines aged 10 to 20 years, grown on calcareous, clay-limestone soils in the foothills of the Pyrénées.

The nose is incredibly expressive, with garrigue, crushed stones and bright blue fruit. On the palate it feels remarkably vertical — precise, fresh and pure, avoiding the heavy extraction often associated with southern French reds; a soulful wine that tastes of the sun-drenched Catalane hillsides.
