Florio is the most historic name in Marsala, founded in 1833 in Sicily and long regarded as the producer that defined the modern style of this fortified wine from the western tip of the island.

This Superiore Riserva DOC 2007 is a Semisecco (semi-dry) Marsala, fortified with grape spirit and aged for an extended period as required for Riserva classification, made from the traditional white grapes of the Marsala DOC — principally Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia.

Expect notes of dried fruit, walnut, caramel and toffee, with a rich, warming, semi-sweet palate balanced by the wine's characteristic oxidative, nutty complexity and a long, lingering finish.
