Glenburgie distillery near Alves in Speyside dates back to 1810 and is best known today as a key component of Ballantine's blended Scotch, producing a fruit-led house style of orchard fruit, honey, malt and gentle oak.

Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in their Connoisseurs Choice range, this expression was distilled in 2000 and matured for 23 years in a first-fill sherry butt, with only 487 bottles produced at 58.7% ABV.

Fragrant aromas lead into butterscotch and sweet dates, with zingy jam flavours, orange zest and sugary toffee.
