Glengoyne 12 Year Old

Glengoyne distils at Dumgoyne, on the Highland line just north of Glasgow - a Highland distillery in classification, though its rolling, green setting sits closer to the Lowlands. Glengoyne is renowned for the slowest distillation in Scotland and for drying its barley with air alone, never peat, resulting in a naturally light, fruity, unpeated single malt.

The 12 Year Old is matured in a mix of hand-selected sherry casks, producing a rich golden colour and a rounded, fruit-driven character that showcases the distillery's signature unpeated style.

The nose offers lemon zest, toffee apples and a scent of coconut, with a rich, golden character running through the palate alongside toffee apple, cinnamon spice, ginger, orange and shortbread, softened by a hint of sherry and gentle oak.

This whisky won Gold Outstanding at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), 2022.
