Greenstone Vineyard 2009 Heathcote Shiraz

Greenstone Vineyard farms one of Heathcote's most distinctive sites, on the ancient Cambrian red soils that give the region's Shiraz its trademark depth and savoury character.

This 2009 vintage is a mature, rare release, showing how Heathcote Shiraz develops with a decade-plus of bottle age.

A deep, intense purple-red hue leads into aromas of ripe dark plum and black cherry, with savoury spice, subtle liquorice and gentle oak. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, with concentrated dark fruit, fine-grained tannins and an elegant, slightly savoury finish reflecting the region's warm, dry climate.
