On the palate, ripe dark fruits mingle with notes of tobacco, spice, and a hint of graphite, supported by fine-grained tannins. The finish is long, savoury, and poised, reflecting both the pedigree of Cru Bourgeois classification and the character of the 2017 vintage.

Nose: Blackcurrant, plum, cedar, and earthy spice

Palate: Ripe dark fruit, tobacco, graphite, and oak spice

'Warm berry-pastry aromas with mulberries and boysenberries, too. The palate has a long, supple and juicy feel with a wealth of rich berries. Plenty to offer here, this has a plush array or ripe dark fruit, driving the palate long and true. A blend of 50 per cent merlot, 40 per cent cabernet sauvignon and ten per cent cabernet franc.'
